Niamh Brown is a British writer, photographer and IT specialist who has emigrated to Denmark. She works as a system developer and has a first class degree in Internet Technology (with Hons) with 11 years experience. She writes part time on a series of science fiction books and short stories. She also reviews, comments and writes articles online.

I have a loving partner that saves me from myself, a large Scandinavian house in the country and the best cat in the world; who walked into our lives out of the blue one day and never left. I suffer from a neuro-muscular disease called Fibromyalgia and ME. The main symptoms of which are chronic pain and fatigue, a hyper-sensitive nervous system, with a sleep disorder thrown in for fun. I try not to let this condition define me though and since taking up this stance it has had less of a hold on my life.

My passions are reading, writing and experiencing: sci-fi/fantasy, writing and writers, journals and auto/biographies, health & self help, thought, philosophy & meditation, photography, cooking & baking, snooker, poker (texas holdem), music, singing & playing the guitar and sending as much love into the world as I can.

My ‘philosophy’ comes from a lot of sources ranging anywhere from ancient dharma texts to the emerging theories in quantum mechanics and is constantly being reviewed.

Niamh is pronounced ‘kneev’ (as if one syllable and the v is from viper) or like ‘eve’ with a ‘N’ in front of it and is the name of a Celtic Goddess.
